Just towed my friends 99 Jaguar w / 99 Mercury 225 carborated today, and notice quite a bit of weight difference behind my F150, compared to my 00 Cougar w/ 00 Merc 225 Opti in tow. Could you tell me the hull weight differences, or the weight of each of the boats and trailers? I know the Jaguar is a heavier boat, but I was in the throttle, a lot more, on todays trip. Both our boats are the basic stock rigs tandem axle trailers, no power poles, same trolling motors. I have the added deck extension on my Cougar where the Jaguar does not have it. Both BCB are single console boats. Thanks for any information you can give us…Ryan.

The 2000 model Cougar should be an all fiberglass hull with an approximate 250 pound advantage, or more, over the Jaguar. There is a difference in engine weights and quite possibly the trolling motor and more. Every pound adds up in these situations and between tackle, equipment, fuel and boat weights you could easily see another 500 pounds. That weight is not much empty though quite a bit already loaded down.
