The Rock was on fire this weekend. Saturday started off really windy in the morning. We only could find 3 keeper “Spots” by 1 pm. From 1pm to 4pm we pulled 8 keeper “Spots” off of one point. Ended the day with 1 keeper Brownie & 10 keeper “spots” our biggest was a 17″ toad. On Sunday, we didnt start fishing until noon and had 26 keepers when we stopped at 6pm. On 2 different occasions on Sunday I broke off 2 fish and we re-caught them a few mins later with my worm and hook in there mouth. We had doubles once Saturday and once on Sunday, we also had triple on Sunday as well. Between Saturday and Sunday we pulled 17 keepers off one point. This weekend was by far the best weekend I have ever had. Most of our fish were caught on a split shot finese zoom green pumpkin worm. Our better fish were caught on Sunday with a split shot senko and a c-rig green pumpkin (purple flake) lizard. Anywhere between 15 – 25 deep…..Hopefully, this will continue for another week or so…Also, several of our bigger fish from Sunday were very blood red around their tales and fins from fanning their beds….
