I am looking Will be getting my first cat in about a year, maybe 2. I have a deal with my wife to get a brand new bass boat when both of our children are in school. My son is 4 and my daughter is 2, that’s where I’m getting my time frames from. I want to know ballpark what am I going to be spending. Now I know things might be different in 2 years but let’s just say Bass Cat is working with the same models that they have right now with similar prices. What is the ballpark price for the following models…Puma FTD…..Cougar FTD….Jaguar…..Eyra…..PIV…..P2……..not on the lot but ordered with custom colors and all. As far as options go, let’s say very well equipped. And why we’re at it what’s the price difference between Mercury and a SHO? I keep going back and forth on what model I want and what model is best for my fishing environment. Thanks for the help.
Man thats a big list! Jaguar – $60k to $85k loaded20 models – $52,000 to $65,000Pantera II – $37,500 to $48,000A 200 SHO adds about $3000, while a 250 SHO adds about $1500 over a Mercury and Evinrude falls in the middle. P4 – $40,000 to $48,000Last edited by Bass Cat Boats on March 18th, 2011, 2:45 am, edited 1 time in total.
My friend just got a puma and has a son who is about 2-1/2. I pointed out how it has the seat pedestal on the front deck just in front of the consoles. Perfect place to put a small seat there for his son when the time comes for those bream fishing trips. I think that was his most favorite part of the boat. I know of no other brand that has that.
Does that lend any truth to the rumor of its demise?
Demise of the PIV?Surely not!
Just overlooked. You guys have created a mini “cult” like following for the P4.
Its really BCBs fault for the PIV following. I mean seriously you built it too well!- Chaz

Thanks for the help.BassDad284,The last thing I want to do is cost BCB or one of its dealers a new boat sale. However, if you watch the “Boats For Sale” page, there are boats from promotional staff and professional staff that are well-optioned and priced for sale that have warranties, etc, and are usually in very well-kept condition. Your kids are still going to be the number one priority (and probably #1 expense all the way thru college) once they are in school, so dont be afraid to look for the most bang for the buck when you go to make your BCB purchase. You might save $8-10K off of retail on a year-old or less boat, with warranties and high-end optional equipment already installed. The savings might also allow you to move up a notch to a premium rig.Between now and purchase time (new or used), learn as much as you can about each BCB model, and try to get a ride in the different models if possible. Additionally, study up on the various engines and optional equipment offered. Take the time to look at the Boats For Sale page, and get an idea of wht is available for resale as well. Also, dealer stock that is left-over or “non-current” is listed from time to time also providing a source of savings and comparisons. An informed buyer usually makes the better deals…Good Luck,Gary Hollander
Whew….one day when I upgrade to my new Eyra this will be an easy decision. The PIV wont be a collectors item, and that will make it easier to part with.
