Hey guys Im asking your opinions on a color of cat that I order for 2009 boat shows, and it has to look CRAZY!!!I like my boats colored differently than most across the nation, atleast thats what Mr.Ivan tells me. Im thinkin a white HO Etec vs. The normal dark blue, so Im thinkin a metal flake boat that compliments the white, red, charcoal grey and slight bit of really dark midnight blue on the motor. So iwas thinking of using maybe malibu blue, fire red pins, black bottom cause thats what sells here, and Im not sure how I should do the hull and cap,was thinkin either charcoal grey or gunsmoke, their way more subtle than the silver I used last year, the charcoal they use is incredible in real life,Rons colors of coral, charcoal and silver pins with black bottom was 1 of the nicest boats in the country, his name here is dbpla. Anyways give me your complete opinion if you dont mind. BrannonYour Signature …
I HAVE NEVER LIKED A WHITE MOTOR . THEY SEEM TO DISCOLOR EASILY.. OF COURSE THERE TANT BUT ONE COLOR…………………….”B L A C K” ROLL ALABAMA TIDE
I have to agree with Tideman.
Brannon- Even though I was going to go with the white motor at one time, I think for you to be able to sell it in the north would be very difficult. Why not go with 100th Anniversary Etec? Tideman- I heard that Merc went with black to hide the stains from the exhaust. I know, I know not all Mercs smoke, especially the ones that are off.
THATS WHAT IS IN PHIL FULMERS BRITCHES AFTER TONIGHT…
HEY RON AND GUYS, Im working with Evinrude as we speak to get as many “RANGER ONLY” Charcoal Grey Etec hos from BRP…..Ranger I hear is like everyone else, not selling or building many boats, so their are several Limited Edition HOs at BRP…..If i get one our boat will be,Charcoal cap, charcoal hull , black bottom, fire red cap insert, and hull insert, silver pins, charcoal carpet, light seats,red/charcoal inserts, or malibu silver cap and hull insert, red pins, silver hull and cap insert, black bottom or charcoal, same idea on interior as previous, see its cool to contrast the motor, match and to totally contrast, RIGHT RON????? Yours looks bad ass as everyone in the COUNTRY tells you, so im really torn …..Your Signature …
Here is a sharp looking charcoal puma, if it would of fit in my garage I would of bought it over my P4.
TAE 73 that one looks pretty hot, its symetrical which is needed, I saw one today that looked like it was colored by CHALLENGED FOLK? Keep up the ideas guys it helps alot, BrannonYour Signature …
White glows in the day and dark. Go with a dark motor. I had to camo my white 40hp Johson. You could see it a mile away. When you are mushroom hunting (river islands) that is not a good thing! Everyone know where you are at / have been with a white motor. My phantom black merc has blue decals (not salt water decals) that match my blue bolts. Go custom – No one at the boat ramp will have a simular rig.
I think one of the funniest things I ever saw was down at lake Mitchell 10-15 years ago. Guy had some sort of boat with a white rude on the back. Had all these brown streaks down the side. My mother was fishing with us and commented “what could have caused that?” While we were getting ready to leave out to fish, this _really_ country-type walks up in his overalls, says “hi yall doin” and as he climbs in his boat, he spits tobacco juice overboard. Suddenly we knew what those “brown streaks” down the cowl actually were. They used to have a mag advertisement “Hair by evinrude” with this nice looking woman in a boat streaking down the lake, with her hair straight back into the wind. We were thinking about a new mag add “cowl by RedMan” or something similar. Gave us something to talk about that afternoon while trying to coax fish to bite. edit: might have been a white Johnson now that I think about it, but we probably should not talk about any color “johnson” if you get my drift… 2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
