Andy, You obviously know Ive spent some time in a Puma FTD, and I had the privilege to drive several Jaguars at the Dealers meetings. Clearly, the Jag is a much larger boat. Dramatically more storage, including trolling motor box, and passenger rod box. The Jag eats rough water, almost on a par with the big Yar Craft, based on my butt. The Jag really needs a 350 ver ado to maximize the hulls potential. Ive seen 83 in that combo, with dry wells and no tackle. Fly by wire steering taks some learning. With the right prop, a 250 would work, but you are now in a sub 70 mph rig. And, it is a load to pull around. Hanging in a lift, ready whenever I wanted it, would be a dream. For me, a Jag/Verado 350 would be the ultimate Pickwick, KY lake rig. If I cant go in that rig, Inneed to stay in the house. But, as long as I fish competively, Ill run a PUma FTD. You know how to find me if you have questions. Mike W.
