I thank you for getting back with me so quick. From reading the post on this site it really looks like the Tempest is with a doughty the best ( and only way, due to the fact I have to take deliv. of a Mercury prop) choice for me. Not flipping a coin which pitch would be the best to start (ask for ) with when I test her next week – the 24 or 25 or maybe 26 Tempest . I want speed and not so concerned about HS
I just purchased a new 2004 Pantera Classic and Im running a 2004 Opt. Max (200 hp). The boat came with a four blade Mercury through hub exhaust prop with a 25 pitch. The second free prop that Mercury sent me through their special pro-mo was the same prop but a 26 pitch. Both props are the Trophy Plus (four blade) props.Question????Which prop should I keep for the best top end speed and which one should I exchange for a three blade prop that will give me the best top end speed and bow lift (dont care about hole shot).People and gear = 480#Thanks
The 26 Fury will do just fine if your boat is loaded like most. worst case scenario is it is light, and you would step up to a 27, but most i know run the 26,,,, good luck.
I run a 25 fury on my 02 cougar/250 Yamaha. It flies with the 25 and Im sure yours is much stronger than my old 250. The 26 should be great. All depends on how you have it set up and what your rpms are.
On my 2013 Eyra, I put one small plug in the 26 Fury left the other two open and it solved most of my issues with the new 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U.BrianHAWG Hunter2013 BassCat Eyra2013 Mercury 250 Pro XS Gen2 L/U
