I need to replace my livewell valve in a 1993 pantera 2. Is this the same valve as the one on basscats website? also is ther a way to tighten the cable or do i just need to replace the whole valve? thanks in advance fo any advise anyone can give

There is a screw that attaches the cable to the valve. It holds the casing in place while the cable slides. I am thinking that you need to replace the whole valve. Being the age it is, and also where it is located, do yourself a favor and replace it. The rubber flappers, spring holders and o-rings are several years old and probably are tired from age.

I had the same problem in my 1993 PII, Not a big fan of the control valve, so what I did was got a small boat plug, had to shave some rubber off, and just plug the drain hole in the livewell. And yes it is the valve on BCB web site.Last edited by Bassdeer on February 12th, 2009, 2:03 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Thanks guys i think im going to plug it like you said. its not like im able to fill the livewell with fish anyway
