I have a humminbird 999ci HD SI on the console with the transducer mounted to the jack plate now and wanting to upgrade my bow unite looking at the 959 or the 999. Want to mount the transducer off the trolling motor so side imaging want work off of that transducer but can be linked to the back transducer.
We dont think side imaging is that great a benefit on the bow for most and the 959 in either ci or DI models would bear choice. If you fish shallow, ci. If you fish deep, DI.
