Please dont kill me as I know this question has to have been asked before many times but I cant find the answer in a search.Which transom saver do I need (length) for a 2011 Cougar with a detweiler plate? I had the MY Wedge on my last boat and am going to go back to the traditional style and want to make sure I get the right one.If someone posts a link, that would be most helpful. There is a new transom saver out there that has potential called Motormate. Google it. Its constructed of stainless steel and looks similar to lock-n-haul. This device does two things I like at the same time. It locks the motor in place from going up and down and left and right eliminating the need for stabilizer clips. Also, it looks structurally stronger then Lock-N-Haul because of the full body stainless steel construction.

Right. But which one? I just dont want to get one that is too long or short. My last boat was the first new one I had and I used the MY Wedge. They use Swivel Ease, though you have to cut the lower roller U tab off to clear the clearance light and keep from punching the center clearance light lens.

Just a standard size. They are adjustable for a few inches either way. Just trim the roller “U” portion so as to not hit the lights.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

I am trying not to make this a big deal but…There are different sizes. No standard size. I found 23-35″, 24-36″, 44-56″.I know about trimming the U portion.I know to use the full length model.I am not looking for alternatives.How long is the SwivlEze transom saver people are using. Ive got a “Shock Eze” transom saver on my 09 CougarFTD/250proxs, 8″ Bobs plate. I just measured mine. From on end to the other, full length, the way I have it adjusted to fit my rig, its 35″ long. So I would say get the 24-36″ model and you should be good to go.
