I had a 250 HPDI Yammy on my 2003 skeeter that I had before buying my first cat in October. It is one strong reliable motor. Never had a single issue. The only gripe that I had with this motor is that is used alot of oil. I would have to fill the oil tank everytime I filled the gas tanks. New Merc does alot better in this area. However, with what you are looking at, you cant go wrong. Just do your homework before the purchase and have the owner hook it up to the computer for you to get all the readouts as well as get a compression reading on all cylinders and check lower unit. Just the normal pre purchase stuff Im sure you know about. But as far as the motor, its a beast!!
