Wiring – Bildge pump

Hi all,Im after some help with a wiring issue….I have a 2006 Basscat sabre and the bildge wont swith on…. Here is a run down.The light on the dash lights up where it says “bildge” but when I push the button neither manual or auto light up…. All other buttons work…. The horn doesnt work anymore either… Not sure if this is related?I have played around with the connections at the back of the boat, is there standard wiring placements for the wiring which is screwed in? I believe I have isolated the bildge as I have removed a positive and negative wire and it hasnt stopped anything else from working.I did try to hard wire to the battery with the removed wires but this didnt seem to work….. I tried to do the same with the wires still in place and couldnt get them to work either????? Any help, ideas much appreciated!CheersPat

It is either a wire issue, a pump problem or a dash issue.

We can not diagnose it from Arkansas, so you will need to check incoming voltage, voltage out of the dash and see if the pump is shutting down the system in protection. BCB

I just did lots of work on mine. If u have screw in pump, take it out and remove the 2 pump plugs. Touch the pump leads to your battery. This will eliminate 1 question. Next chech the brown wire on your console panel. Check the terminals that plug in to your multipin connector.

Not necessarily, because if the pump is failing it has no amperage protection from overdraw when you direct connect it. The will often run when wired hot even though they are faulty. Which is why voltage supply is where to start.

Can you tell me which wires are for the bildge? I want to be able to hard wire it just to test it… Pat

Does the fact that the auto and manual light doesnt light up for the bildge indicate anything?The bilge writing lights up ok… When I press it nothing else (auto on manual) lights up…. Pat

Below is a photo of the wiring at the rear of the boat, where there is a red and black cross I have removed these wires as I figured they were the bildge.Note all other items other than the horn appear to work without these two wires attached. Any tipes on which wires need to be hard wired to test the bildge assume the ones I have removed arent correct???
