Wiring Diagram for 99 Jag

I have Gov. Huckabees 99 Jag and just changed out all the batteries. I thought I had everything handled so nothing would get mixed or out of place but it didnt happen. When we got done my son found a large(at least #4 wire) black wire that goes to the front laying in the bilge. I have the 3 battery system for a 36 volt system. None of the wires in my boat are marked except the one we didnt get connected and it is marked with a electrical numbers tag #2. . Are there any wiring diagrams anywhere on the website?Thanks Johnny

Any dealer should have a tech manual and the service department can help you also.

Then contact Service or visit a local trolling motor shop.

I had to deal with same problem on an 88 p2, all I did was pull the panel up front, where the 12/24/charge switch is , make sure batteries are d/C , remove one of the wires and pull it slightly, while your helper holds both black wires. That will quickly tell you which is which

I dont remember in 99 if Basscat used the 4 wire system for the plug, or had gone to 2 wires. If youll pull the trolling motor receptacle, youll probably find the other end of the wire.JohnBTW, when running a 3 battery, 36V system, you need to make sure the cranking battery ground and the trolling motor ground are connected to the same battery, and that battery is the one used for cranking and accessories else you will invite electrolysis. We believe 1999 was the three wire assembly as some motors were still on the 24/36 volt options then.

A 3 wire connection would simply have the single ground connected to cranking battery ground. A positive from trolling battery 1 and a positive from trolling battery 2. Bass Cat models have used all systems4 wire 3 wire andpresently 2 wire The actual trolling motor will dictate the connection patterns in most cases. The factory has art work on that.

I would figure out whats not working properly and go from there.
