On my boat it was a piece of cake because Basscat had a nice area for wiring going up the right side of the boat. With the factory wire I was only getting 11.6 on a fresh battery up front. Now I have 12+ volts all day long.+1I had the same issue on my 99 P3, not the alarms but 11.7 or 11.6volts on a fully charged battery. my smartcraft and BP101 was showing 12.3 but when powered up it showed 14V. I ran 12 gauge speaker wire from the bow for my 898SI and console 998SI straight to the battery now it shows the same as my smartcraft and BP101.Also dont forget to run a 3 AMP fuse for each unit. $5 will save that $1000 unit!!
