what size is your cranking battery and what point do they alarm?

Run a dedicated 12 gauge power and ground. Buy a 50ft roll of 12g speaker wire and run from the battery to the console then on to the front. On my boat it was a piece of cake because Basscat had a nice area for wiring going up the right side of the boat. With the factory wire I was only getting 11.6 on a fresh battery up front. Now I have 12+ volts all day long.

Now I have 12+ volts all day long.+1I had the same issue on my 99 P3, not the alarms but 11.7 or 11.6volts on a fully charged battery. my smartcraft and BP101 was showing 12.3 but when powered up it showed 14V. I ran 12 gauge speaker wire from the bow for my 898SI and console 998SI straight to the battery now it shows the same as my smartcraft and BP101.Also dont forget to run a 3 AMP fuse for each unit. $5 will save that $1000 unit!!

We dont use fuses at BCB to reduce that line drop. We go back to batteries most usually and you can find dozens of posts on the topic.

Is that a inline fuse or the blade type that youre using????

yes, a blade type fuse holder. i get the water proof one.

Hello family members, I have a P2 08 cat. I am wanting to get a copy of the wiring diagram. I have a issue with my 2 humminbird units. I have 777c at the bow and 787c2 at that my console. Over a some fishing time I get a low level voltage alarm on both units. I raise the alarm points at both location. But I am curious now if I have some other problem with wiring. I am getting ready to install 2 898 units so I would like to get diagram of the wiring for my both from the front all the way to the batteries in the back. Thanks in advance.

They do have a wiring diagram for your 1991 model, ask for Richard.
