Last night I took a low flying duck to the water with my rear running light… at 70 miles per hour! I have never had such an experience in my life! The bad new is, the running light got a good hit on the duck… but lost the battle in the end. Lucky the fiberglass around the base is 100%, but the light is bent really bad! I have my BBS Rally this weekend and need this light a.s.a.p! Is there an alternative the the light on this site (i.e. LED lights like I have seen at the landings) or is the $20.00 the best replacement?

Cheaper one is best. The expensive one would jsut be costing you another $65 now instead of $20. You can pick one up at most Marine Dealerships. If you dont have a good local dealer West Marine, Cabelas, Academy, Bass Pro, Gander Mountain or more… Sorry for the duck…

I hit about a dang dozen of them late one afternoon last fall. I thought they would get out of the way and wouldnt fly into my path. I can remember the thuds. I now watch out or slow down for them.

Had a run in with some geese a couple of years ago. Had a friend with me and was showing him how fast the boat would go. Ran into a flock of quartering geese. Thinking they were going to flair out of the way and it would be really cool I kept going. Needless to say, they didnt………Ive never seen my friend get so small under a console………..I got the hell scared out of me ……… and NO it wasnt cool.
