YES trimming the Sabre to high can cause you to hit the limiter with the 23, at least my old 2007 150 Opti would hit the limiter with one person, full load and overtrimmed. If you overheat, or lose pressure it will be a long constant beep and the guardian system will shut you down to 2K or less RPMs. Hitting the limiter is just a short beep and cut out, not shut down. My Sabre FTD really runs best with the trim guage a tick or two over half trim, NOT all the way up. I could not run my 150 1/2″ above level plates and keep 15 PSI of water pressure with the Sabre FTD (without plugging upper holes). I am currently running a 24 Tempist on a 175 PROXS and I am right at the 6K limiter with one person aboard, if you are not getting an overheat I would at least try a 24 to get those RPMs down cause you are going to get into “extreme over rev” codes in the ECM this winter when fishing alone if you are hitting it with a full load and two aboard with summer temps. Remember everytime you hit the limiter the ECM is storing that info!!! Congrats on the win!!!
