Was out on the Delta today. Ran around a bit at like 45 – 50 with a few WOT runs. I only used 5 gallons of gas. At that rate if I fill the tank I can go few times out and not worry about gas. These new motors are more efficient. Mileage! Not using much oil either. I am so happy with this boat. I rarely fill mine up. 3-7 gallons a trip is pretty normal so 1/2 a tank is good for at least two trips. Now the truck to get there is another story!Glad you are enjoying the boat!!!

Same here, average 6 gallons an outing with the 200 Opti on same hull. I dont even use back up tank but keep main full cause it a trip for gas. Our marina has non-ethanol but I dont want to switch back over because dont know long they will be able to get it. This year they can only get non-ethanol in 91 octane which will be expensive. I guess I will need to replace my gas line as I got the gray with red letters. My wife just loves seeing those boxes from BCB that seem to arrive once a week…..

schodack, I would not use 91 in your opti. I believe they 87 in most if not all optis. Don on bbc has post regarding premium fuel in an opti. He would prefer 10% ethanol 87 over ethanol free premium. Now an EFI 2 stroke is a different matter. John

Normally I run 87 or 89 with 10% ethanol. When I store over the winter, it sits for 4-5 months (close to six this year) so I top off with premium because it will loose some octane when sitting. Previous owner did the same thing. If the flooding ever goes away, I may actually get out. I saw Noah go by on the Hudson today when I went down to check conditions….

I run Calif. Delta all the time – huge miles of waterways and average over last couple of years 5 gal. per trip. 2002 Classic w/200hp Opti (3.0). Extremely good for Delta running!

Yeah I hit the delta today ran from Orwood down to Rivers End. For those that dont know the Delta it is a long rids for the Delta. then ran all the way back. It was also pretty damn windy. The gauge barely came off the full mark. Im very impressed with this ProXS.
