Just curious. Of all those purchasing the Yamaha SHO are you also getting the Yamaha Extended Service plan that adds 3 years coverage for $2970?

Get a Merc Pro XS and you get 5 for free. That seems high to me at almost $1K per year for the added 3 years. I would hope that if it is going to come unwound, it would happen in the first normal warranty period. It boils down to whatever your hip pocket can stand. Good luck!

Bass1958, so your tellin me that Yamaha is making consumers pay for the Extended warrantys right now? I used to sell Yamaha, and that was always part of the Promotional time of Boat Show time, ending March 31st or April 15th. Mercury and Evinrudes promos are 100% free to the consumer, the dealer has to pay a small fee, but its free to you, id check on that one. And I would NEVER pay that much for a extended warranty, especially with a good Dealer that can write a Correct Insurance Estimate. Brannon
