Yamaha SHO shuts off

My SHO is shutting off.. to the point where if feels like some one pulls the kill switch.. Only when I get to higher RPMsI can run 4000 RPMS and idle all day long but once I get rolling and get on it, it will run… and then BAM!!! like it has no fire, or something electrical come off.. I put it back in neutral and it fires right back upoThere is no horn, or over heat, or anything… Just cruising and then dead…Anyone experience this before? This all of the sudden started happening.. no environmental changes or anything.. no oil leaks found.. Seeking pointers to triage it.. Dealer is a little drive away…Mo

We have never heard of such an issue. It sounds a lot like a fuel issue.

You may want to post this question on bass boat central . The guys on the yamaha board know their stuff about the SHO. Ed

I can swap fuel cells on my Basscat.. and still happens on both tanksI will post on BBC and see if I Can get a mechanical response of some kindMo
