Well, I just returned from the Yamaha OEM dealer meeting and they should be finishing the dealer meeting today. While it wont be out for several months to come they introduced a 175 SHO Monday. They had it on several boats, a 19 Express, 618 Pheonix and Sabre FTD. The Sabre FTD was the quickest of all boats there and they detuned the propeller from 72+ to 67-68 MPH. I took it out with Bill Lowen riding co and a full load load of fuel and twisted 67 plus on GPS. That was detuned and I did not run it solo. Overall it was a good meeting and the 3-350 enginges on the 42 Hydra-Sport were pretty cool and we played with parking that rig in the river current. Video game style! The Bennington 25 with a new 250 X SHO ran out nice in the mid 40s and there was plenty more there to see. We dont suggest many 175s and we seldom see reason as the price tag squeezes the P2 and 200 Rig down to a few bucks difference per payment for those financing. If you have that shorter garage and are holding out for the 175 4 stroke this one seems pretty strong on the same 150 SHO frame and look.
