Wife calls yesterday,,,,What is this long tube UPS delivered ? Wooohoooo, rods are in ! I get home to this ! Just wait until my office mgr. gets ahold of our UPS rep,,,,,,,,gonna get ugly……..
I had the same thing about a month ago. I order to two rods off E-Bay from a firm in Missouri. When they arrived they were sticking out of a major, taped up, tear in the tube. I noticed it was shipped by USPS, contacted the seller who had already seen a notice where the deliver person has posted some visible damage on the USPS tracking site. Long story short, I finally got me rods replace but it was a bad experience by the Post Office.
WOW, Easily handled, Company re-shipping my order, UPS picking up broken order, and returning, and company claim with UPS will b paid in full. They also stated the obvious, that they should have never completed delivery when the package was damaged, and should have handled it themselves immediately.Pretty good customer service i suppose !
These rod companies must figure over the course of a year it is cheaper to send rods in cardboard and eat a few rods due to damage then ship in pvc. I have ordered countless number rods over the years and the only damaged rods I ever received were shipped in cardboard. Im not saying that a rod in pvc can not be damaged, but the odds swing in the other direction.
i think d runs with american rodsmiths but that may have changed.if my courier ever thought of dropping a package in that condition at my home.ill stop there
