It is our responsibility as anglers to make DAMN sure all tournament directors are treating OUR fish with the care they demand. Fish care MUST be the absolute highest priority PERIOD. It is a great privilege we all enjoy to even be able to go after these fish, it is NOT A RIGHT. If your tournament director is doing something questionable, you HAVE to say something, HAVE TO!! Sorry to yell but I had a bad experience in Nashville this weekend.
Ive been trying to get local circuits to consider OCT,NOV,DEC,MARCH,APRIL AND MAY FOR TX SCHEDULES TO AVOID THE HEAT OF SUMMER, BUT TO NO AVAIL.BAYOU BANDIT
I think avoiding the heat of summer is a good idea. But I also doubt that the mortality rate of any tournament is going to do any long lasting damage to any fishery.
