Not trying to hijack your post, but, with BC stating that you should keep the unit, was wondering if there any new 1240As out there?? Have 1 now that works but the #s have faded out. Have used a white pen to line them up but it looks ridiculous! Do they still make the 1240As?? AC

Thanks!!! Ill certainly check those areas out. A lowrance service area, hmmm…might have to make a trip to the Classic and hunt a Lowrance person down. BTW…I have looked at the Vexilar systems. They are very nice. Almost forgot about them. Thanks again. AC
