Appreciate all the input. Sounds like I need to experiment a bit on my own. Also enjoyed last story!! Reminds me of one of my Dads favorite(possibly warped) stories:There was a farmer showing a crop adjuster around his farm when they came across the feed lot and the insurance guy couldnt help but notice there was a pig with a wooden leg. He asked the farmer to explain this.Farmer said, funny you ask, the other day I was plowing in the back 40, and drove too close to a culvert and tipped over the tractor pinning me under the tractor, thought I was a gonner. Next thing I know I felt something tugging on my shirt collar, looked back and this pig was rooting the dirt beneath me and pulled me out. Not only that one night my wife and I were sound asleep, a fire started in basement, we were awoken by a banging sound, it was the pig banging his snout against the side of the house. If he hadnt woke us up we would have perished in the fire. The insurance guy said thats all quite interesting, but that doesnt explain why the pig has a wooden leg.The farmer replied, sir, you just cannot eat an animal that special all at once!?!?!?Sorry, lame HuH??
Thanks much!! Its going to be a long season, may have to bum a few rides, maybe break out the old basstender pond boat—might be able to get it up to 1.7mph!!!!Oh well it will be worth the wait!!! Come Sept. Ill be happier than a pigeon in a crouton factory(lame??). Trying not to sound like a dang Yankee!?!?
Great colors, nice looking boat!! Be glad you dont live up north, Id have to chop a big hole to run it now!?!? Very nice boat —enjoy it!!!
Talked with Ivan at BCB said he will fix me up. Awesome!!! And when I come to VT we may have to concentrate more on the great fishing in Champlain than teaching me not to kill myself driving that rocket sled!?!? Bill Im counting the days. Definitely appreciate all your help. May have to repay you with one of those big Iowa Whitetail hunts. My son is my deer hunting guide.
Thats FUNNY, I dont care who ya are!!!
Lets not talk about that!?!? Thinking about taking up gardening May have to resort to bumming a ride from my Champion buddy. Trying to convert him to a BCB, hes coming with me next Wednesday for a factory tour, and HOPEFULLY a demo ride from Ivan(weather permitting). Better not need my snow gear???Guys, thanks for the info. This board is a wealth of information. Want to let you guys know this forum has been a LARGE influence on my decision to buy a BCB. I am not a tournament fisherman and have never fished or ridden in a Cat. How can you not be impressed after such testimonials!! Hope I can meet Mr. Pierce, Ill try not to be too star struck!! Is he more like Ron White or Larry the Cable guy!?!? Sorry Rick, my attempt at humor, dont raise the price on VT Bass on account of that!!! You and this Bass Cat family are top notch. Thanks again,Bill
Your colors are great !!!! Thats gonna be a neckbreaker from all the other envious fishermen!!
Thanks for the quick replyBill
Rub it in—the boat probably wont be happy with anything less!?!?! It will be spoiled child before I get itSince this building is supposed to be a “horse barn” for my wife, maybe if I talk sweet to her I might get more than just a little corner of it for the new boat. Hope I didnt forget how to “sweet talk”???I supposed you got a floor drain also Bill—Tim Allen would!!! Oh-Oh-Oh!!!
I commented on an earlier post about meeting Ivan during a plant tour. He obviously lives and breathes BCBs!!! It is contagious!! Ivan is worth his weight in gold as far as Im concerned. How many would take me out on a 45 degree day on Bull Shoals for an 80mph boat ride. He has a gorgeous Puma. Hes gonna leave a big hole if he ever retires. Rick definitely knows quality in his boats and employees. Thanks again Ivan for your hospitality!!!!!!!!!!!!Bill
I will definitely try the stumps, not sure about those rocks though. Been to some Canada lakes and those rocks scare me a bit. Hate to scratch that pretty kitty!!! Trying to figure out how to climb any rock, maybe those Hambys are more protective than I thought???No rocks for me please.
Bill, Sounds like a great program. Fishing can provide many healing benefits for mind and body. The comradery fishermen have is unparalleled. Thanks for making this available to the group.Bill Mac P.S. Why is it I like your new avatar?!?! HmmmLast edited by Fish Doc on April 8th, 2011, 2:48 am, edited 1 time in total.
JP,Looking forward to seeing what that new Eyra looks like. I thought your previous Puma looked great also. Also interested on how you think the ride in rough water compares to the Puma. Im getting a 2011 Couger soon(NOT soon enough) but sure like the looks and the layout of the new Eyra!!!!!! Also wonder if it has a tendency to chine walk more easily than your Puma, if I remember right you said your Puma rarely walked much. Will the Eyra get an SHO or Merc???Need pictures soon, I need something to drool over till I get my Couger?!?!?!Bill Mac
Thanks JP, that should give me my Bass Cat fix for a few days!!!!!!!! Absolutely AWESOME colors, very nice. And I thought your old boat looked great—who got that? You are a great person and fisherman representing Bass Cat very well.Cant wait to see numbers—be safe!!!!Bill Mac
Thanks for the Smallmouth fix JP. Now that I sold my Stratos I am boatless. No Eagle lake trip for the boys and I this year. Twiddling my thumbs and turning into a pond fisherman till September when I acquire my 2011 Couger–Im not sure I will survive?!?!?!? Those are some nice Smallies, are they 5lb or larger??Also just wondering if you have any opinion on the rough water ride of the Eyra compared to the Puma?? Again awesome fish pics!!BillLast edited by Fish Doc on May 28th, 2011, 9:06 pm, edited 2 times in total.
