I think these were taped to the harness , when I removed one ring of the tape to get access to the #10 power wire is when i noticed these. Based on how they were taped on the harness and with that 90 on the white wire I thought maybe they were connected together.

You might have someone look through the rod box as you are pulling the wire . The wire might be turning up and hitting the recessed portion of the top cap. You might try pulling the wire from the other way. I just ran new wires and had the same issue.

Thank you for the help, these were missing from the Speedo . That would explain why the light never worked on it.
