Forgot to add that I replaced the fuel line from the tanks to the motor. Fuel lines under the cowling appear to be good and see no crimps or kinks. Also replaced the fuel/water separator filter.

Was acting up before I changed the line and bulb. U know if there are any more fuel filters on the fuel lines anywhere? The new gas line I installed connects to a metal, prob brass, gas tube from both tanks so those cant be crimped.

I had the same problem with my gauges. I have a 2003 classic with 200 efi. I called to checked into getting replacement covers for the guages and you cant get them. You have to buy whole new guages if you want them to be clear and not hold water. The reason is because they are nitrogen filled. I popped my off the outside covers to let the water drain then put the inside cover back on. I accidently broke the outside cover. But the inside cover stays on and I can see my guage now. Quick fix until i can buy some new gauges. You can order the guages from mercurypartsexpress.com. tach part number is 889222k22 and $376, speedo is 889223k22 and $430.

Its definitely the motor, makes a whining noise and sounds like its gonna crap the bed.

That lake is just tough to fish regardless. I went there last Sunday and believe it or not, caught about a 2lb walleye on a sweet beaver. I fished mainly the small coves and around docks. I had a few bites in the longer coves past Spencer Bay. Saw one guy out in the middle between Spencer Bay and the state park area, appeared to be deep cranking, but not sure how he did. That was my idea to fish there because its close, but I think I could get to Degray in about the same time and have better luck.

Jones do you have any in stock? Motor is a 2003 model. Ive been meaning to order some parts for my trolling motor from you. I need new springs, pins and rod that are inside the bracket. Trolling motor is a Minn Kota maxuum 74.
