Is this boat still for sale?
Fellas, I just want to say a few things about Joshs Eyra. First, we just couldnt make the numbers work for it to be mine, sometimes thats the way it goes. With that said, this is the cleanest, most bad ass Eyra I have looked at! It is a premium boat, tournament ready. Josh was very professional and a pleasure to work with, he is very transparent. Either way, weather you buy or not, you wont be disappointed in looking into this boat.
I believe the 2010 Jag was wrecked? I cant be sure but I found the crash scene pics on line while surfing. The 2010 had a red/black cap same as the wrecked Jag, also, the 2010 was originally listed with a brand new Merc. ProXL 250 crate motor and new trailer, now, it is being sold without a motor. This boat needs to be researched before bought to avoid any disappointment. Plus, the Lifetime transferable hull warranty from BCB may not be valid in this instance if the boat was indeed wrecked…SmackyLast edited by Smacky on November 22nd, 2013, 4:55 am, edited 1 time in total.
Here is the site with pics of the smashed Jag. AutoBidMaster.com – 2010 Bass Cat Jaguar Lot# 13012952
I have rod organizers on the driver side of my 07 Puma. The bow end has tubes like the passenger side but no hole for the rod butts at the console. The driver side console is fitted with carpeted steps (two rows) and a bungee cord goes across the top of the rod butts as they rest on the steps to secure them. I wish I could send pics but I dont have my boat with me. All in all it works pretty good. I keep my longer rods on the passenger side because access seems to be better with two sets of tubes. Smacky
I bought a used BCB here off the website and it had the domed decals on the hull. I took them off asap. The window decal is the way to go. The domed decals are too small and you cant really tell what it is until you get close. There is something to be said about contrast as you can see with Phils Puma. Smacky
Amen to all the above. My Grand Pappy landed at Iwo and Bougainville to fight the Japs and then fought the Chinese at the Chosin. Retired Core, and, now is buried in Henryetta Ok. He was cleaning out his gutters and fell off the house at 86. He didnt survive the surgery to pin his ankle. I like telling of Master Chief, Mose W. Boyd, USMC, because there is a toughness that he and his generation represented that is seldom recognized in our culture today. Smacky
Corky, I live 20 mi West of OKC in Yukon Ok. It is a great place to live with a family. I fish in SE Ok and maintain my familys home place outside of Eufaula Ok. The fishing is good with lots of water to choose from. Grand lake and Konowa lake were ranked in the top 100 bass lakes in the US. Konowa is a power plant lake so the water temp is great all year, its about an hour from OKC. My cousin fishes the Fishermans Choice trail, he likes it and there have been some good events we have fished together. My boat is serviced at S&D Marine in Shawnee, Ok, about 30min East from OKC. They are good people and have treated me and my cousin very well. He is on their prostaff and has been treated good. They represent the quality found at BCBs. The cost of living is minimal compared to other larger cities across the US. We have the OKC Thunder as well as a cult like following of OU and OSU football. The price per sqft for new construction right now in Yukon is about $125 per sqft. That is with all the amenities you could possible want. Land is about $1000 – $1500 per acre depending on use. The weather is stressful at times, when its bad it is REALLY bad. A storm shelter in the garage floor will cost you about $2500.00 and its worth every penny. OKC isnt really prone to tornadoes, only about one every five years or so, and Eastern OK really has very few to speak of. And, like fishok said, the economy here has weathered the ups and downs very well. 30% of the OK economy is in oil and gas production. Oil and gas are on the world wide market so there is not the fluctuations that there used to be back in the 80s. Its not the wild west but we have open carry laws here and crime really is nominal. We are a RED state…Thank goodness. Let me know if you have any questions and if so Ill get you my cell#. SmackyLast edited by Smacky on December 9th, 2013, 7:20 am, edited 1 time in total.
I agree with you Dan!! The truth be known, it really wasnt that long ago. Huge atrocity! In Europe as well. Time moves on though and the world is a much smaller place these days, but, still dangerous. I like Super Tough. Smacky
I grew up having pointers my whole life, tried that once myself on the lowest setting. You are the MAN!! LMAO!!! Laffin so hard Im cryin. Now I know what frustrated fishermen do! Smacky
Bass1958 is right…spoken like a man with experience. Knowing my wife I would act surprised as well. Smacky
Love the rig! Color is perfect.
Dan, I work in the oilfield and have seen several aluminum hitches being used here in Ok, mostly with Hotshots. I havent ever heard of anyone breaking off or seen any problems with the aluminum hitches. Believe me, they wouldnt use them if they were faulty. Plus, they look great! I dont know anything about the ball, it looks like a good idea.
Awesome! I got my Puma in October and my son caught the first fish out of our new toy! I know exactly how you felt, wouldnt have traded it for the world! Congrats – Smacky
