    The previous owner replaced the motor with this 150 Johnson. The jackplate is by Vance Manufacturing. It is not the original jackplate. Also the prop is a 3 blade rakker, I think its a 24 pitch.

    Thanks BCB for the reply.  Do you mind telling me what the “other issues” might be?  I’m trying to find a 23 pitch prop to see what difference it will make.

    Took my boat to the weigh scales and she comes in at 3200 lbs.  I’d say she is “waterlogged”!!!  So now for the repair.  What # foam density should I use?

    I’m a novice.  This is my first experience with fiberglass.  Can you explain what you mean by a “tack coat”?

    I ran the primer bulb straight to the port tank since I didn’t have an external tank available.  It did the exact same things.  I will try to use an external tank before I explore the ECM issue.  I had ECM rebuild about 5 yrs ago.

    Today I rigged up an external tank.  Motor ran great.  Never died, stuttered, or hesitated.  Ran several laps around a small lake.  Got up to 66mph.  Came back home and removed what I thought was the anti-siphon valve but no valve, just fitting for fuel hose.  I ordered new tank control valve from BassCat today.  I will also replace all fuel and fill hoses.  Hope this solves my problem!
