I bought a couple from the cheapest to the most expensive and really tried to like them. I am all about made in USA when quality is comparable even if I have to pay up. Needless to say they are all gone and the last 4 reels I have purchased were Lews. The one with the red letters and spool (cheapest) was very rough and was temperamental 30 cast great and then backlash for no apparent reason. The one that “looks” like carbon fiber(high end) was smoother but not near as smooth as it should have been for the $. Getting these reels to cast a mile was very easy but they were just not for me. the one with red letters caused me the most trouble the level wind would get caught out side of the gears on the far sides; the one with the yellow writing would re-engage mid cast for no apparent reason. I never had a mechanical issue with the carbon fiber looking one.I hate to bash any product in public BUT…I did not have good luck out of these reels and I really wanted to.
