I’m running a Lexor in it right now. That’s what the dealer put in it.

    P2P looks

like 4.5in.  I’m sorry I have no idea how to measure rooster tail height. It looks normal compared to the other boats I’ve driven.

my thought was to raise the jackplate up to 3.5 and see it runs with both props. You can definitely over trim it as I can run 5400-5600 rpms and run 56 then trim it up a little more to get the Rpm’s closer to 6k but I lose 3-4 mph

    Bass Cat Boats:

Lower engine heights and four blade propellers seem to help a. Suzuki perform better. However it will not run with a Mercury or Yamaha, as Suzuki runs a little lower on actual horsepowers.

I knew I would lose a little speed for what should be a lot more reliability going from the Mercury to a Suzuki.  Ill talk to my dealer see if I can swap it out for a 4 blade to see what happens.

I moved the jackplate to 3.5 and went back to the 27p prop. The whole shot improved a ton, RPMs now top out at 5800, which is closer. That’s with boat trimmed up and really driving it.  The water was rough so that didn’t help.  I have noticed now and before I moved the jackplate, there seems to be a better sweet spot at 3/4 throttle. At times, with less trim and throttle the boat will hit 5800-6000 RPMs and actually run faster.I’m going to change props back to the 25p this weekend and see how it runs.   Then play with jackplate in 1/4″ increments and see how it responds.  My biggest issue is that when I repowered the boat the dealer didn’t change out the water pressure gauge and it’s not working. He told me I was running new technology and didn’t need it. Not sure how I feel about that.
