I read somewhere a while back that someone got their best speed in an FTD with a Mazco prop. Was that you that tested one out? Are you still running the 25p trophy on your boat?I see where you are looking for a 27p tempest. Are you going to try that out on your FTD or is it for something else? The set up on my FTD is close but i am going to start playing around with it again to see if i can get it better.I would also like to try out a Power Tech prop. I cant seem to find anyone that has tested one out on a FTD.

There is a 2004 FTD with a 225 HO in the boat for sale section and it listed using a 27 renegade, a stock 27 trophy and a modified 27 trophy.

Yes I still have the prop and it is for sale or trade for a 25p tro4 or a 25p vmx.

Did you make any jackplate adjustments when you switched props. I am told that the tro4 can run a little higher than the trophy.

I would have thought that going from the large vent holes to the smaller ones would have a negative effect on what you are trying to do. When you vent more you get more prop slip, therefore you can trun more rpm at take off and get up faster, but hey if you found what works for your set up that is great. Makes you feel good when a plan comes together.

I have a 25p Trophy on a 2004 FTD with a 225 Optimax. I just traded a 26P trophy for a PowerTech 25P VMX. I havent tried it yet but I will be testing it out soon. I will post the results then.

I have the Aurora cover and I will tighten it up more fromt to back. Mine also has the snap in the cover but the hole for the pole is not below it.Where can you get the snap in post for the Aurora cover?
