All electronics and componets working. Speedo tube is clogged up, but I use the GPS for speed anyhow. Still for sale.

Sorry to see your deal fell through. I saw from your profile that you are listed as Franklin, TN. If you havent already, you might want to check with Riverside Marine in Old Hickory. They have at least one used Classic and a Sabre within your price range.

I have a Sabre FTD with swing-away tounge and it fits easily in my 21 deep garage. (I have about a foot to spare.) I used to have a Classic, and it required that the boat be angled in the garage to get it to fit right. More often than not, I would slowly lower the garage door to find out that it hit the tounge. I would then start over again until I got it right. I think the garage thing was the biggest reason for me selling my Classic and going to a Sabre FTD. It sounds like you have some room to angle, but keep in mind that the PII is significantly wider towards the front than the Classic, and will take up more side to side room. The PII may fit, but your wife might not be able to open the door to her car. I suggest getting the measurements from the basscat webpage, then mark off the demensions with your trash can, lawmower, etc. to help you picture how much room your boat will take up. This will help you figure out how much room the boat will take up and will it work with your wifes car.Last edited by jlg309 on April 29th, 2008, 1:46 am, edited 1 time in total.

Ive used both, and never repaired a shaft on a Minn Kota (cant say the same for my Motor Guide.) The newer universal sonar feature now has a temp sensor as well. Also, the hole patterns are the same between either brand. The biggest difference Ive noticed is when I switched to Minn Kota, the “run” switch was on the opposite side of the foot control of the Motor Guide. Having run MGs since I first learned how to use a trolling motor, the MK felt like I was driving a car in England. After a few trips, it became second nature, but was akward at first. I also have no loyalty to either brand, and am currently runnning a Motor Guide because thats what came on my boat. That being said, if the Motor Guide breaks on me, I will likely ditch it and go back to the Minn Kota.

Not to beat a dead horse, but there is a guy on Nashville Craigslist selling a like new Mercury 150 hp 4-stroke, currently hanging on a Basscat Pantera. Hes selling it because he said the 150 4 stroke is “not enough” and he needs to upgrade to a 200.
