Ok gents, I had the opportunity to get off work early today so I had some extra time to attempt narrowing down my problem with the gauges not functioning. I decided to dismount the tach and with the bottom plug still plugged in I removed the top plug and checked for 12volts on both top probes. Only to find the side that supplies power to the engine trim gauge had power and the other top probe that supplies power to the fuel, speedometer and water psi gauges had no power. Now I no the tach is not sending power from that side of the plug. Just poking around with my test light I pushed in on the top probe that showed no power and to my surprise now we have power. My guess, a couple years vibration must have caused some type of loose connection. Ill see if it does it again on my next trip out but Im pretty confident I pushed the probe in enough to get a good connection. Meanwhile Ill save up some money to purchase a new tachometer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thanks BassCat for your support.
