I recently replaced my trolling motor and one trick I used to prevent dropping the nuts was to stuff a towel into the opening behind the bow panel. I dropped them a couple of times, but when they hit the towel, they stay right there. Also, BCB puts an aluminum plate the bolts pass through against the fiberglass for reinforcement. Rick
