what size motor is on your PII? i have a 95 PII i just puta teflex sea star hydralic sterring on it has a 200 mercury EFI and it was a pain to get the sea star hydralic sterring on there. BCB is right you have to have at least a 8″ jackplate to make it work and you have to have motor mounted as high on the jackplate as possible. I had to let my jackplate all the way down mount motor all the way up and put a 8″ jackplate to trim it up.
