Thanks for the quick reply. I cant wait to own one of your boats! Hopefully Ill get the recipe right and create a rocket! On my lakes, most people own Stratos or Triton boats. Im sure more of them will look into BCB if I get the combination right on mine. Thanks again!

Which did you like best … the Puma or the Cougar FTD? Were there any noticeable differences between the two. I pretty close to purchasing a BassCat but Ive never ridden in one. Thanks!

VSBassCat Thanks for the suggestions! I just took a look at your album and I love your BassCat! Ive been trying to decide on a new boat for about 1 year and have researched them all (Ranger, Stratos, Triton, etc). I currently own an older Stratos and I must say that, for me, BassCat is the only way to go (even though I havent driven one). These boards really do build a lot of excitement for those of us looking to buy new BassCat boats. Thanks, again!

Well, Ive decided that the problem is that I cant find a BassCat that doesnt look good! These boats are just so perfect… Judd (basschaser) Thanks for your advice on carpet, seats and blingy colors. This type of information is very helpful and is much appreciated! And….I agree, you cant beat the black Merc! tae73 Your boat rocks … I love the colors and how awesome the boat looks behind your truck. I may want to use your colors on my boat. Please let me know if that would be cool with you. Im usually pretty creative but Ive over analyzed the colors to the point of needing advice from others. BCB Thanks for your reply and for not adding more colors to confuse me even further (hehe). I will use the information that you provided to help narrow things down. This information helps alot! adchunts I can relate. My last rig was a red Silverado pulling a green Stratos. It always looked like Santa was coming to town when I headed to the lake! BassCats canary yellow is a great color and it looks good behind your truck. The trailer color pulls the truck and boat colors together. Thanks again, everyone!Last edited by wolfrvr on June 24th, 2009, 11:09 pm, edited 1 time in total.

SAMRUSH Those colors are nice! They look really good on your boat! The Boat Designer doesnt do the yellow justice … it looks a lot better on the boat. Thanks again! RangerDoug I used your color suggestions in the Boat Designer and they look really good. I hadnt really considered red until now. Thanks! dblpasabre The coral is an awesome color and looks great on your boat. Thanks for emailing me photos of your boat! weeman and Curt Wilke I like the colors on both of your boats. I was born on the 4th of July and have considered a red, white and blue. Thanks for posting pics of your boats to give me a better idea of how it would look. Ive come to the conclusion that you really cant go wrong with any of the BassCat colors. Every boat I have seen looks great! Photos really help because Ive seen very few BassCat boats up close. Keep them coming. Thanks!

Do you have a jack plate? If so, most are mounting there. If you mount on the transom just make sure you follow the instructions and get it the proper distance from the prop and level. If its not level, then the side that is high will show up dark on the display. Also make sure it is below the water line but not too low or you could rip it off. I would definitely check out the Side Imaging Forum. There are several installation pictures there. Side Imaging Forum Heres the link to a lot of installation pictures. EARP64…Nice Cat! I still havent seen an ugly cat which makes it even more difficult to decide on colors. Youll need the url of the photo in order to add it to your post. If your using Internet Explorer, then the steps below should work for you. If you are using the Google Chrome web browser, then youll need to add the html. 1) Open your album and navigate to the photo you want to post but dont open it. 2) Right-click and select Open in New Window. 3) Once the window opens, copy the url from address bar. 4) Use the “Insert Photo” button when making a new post to add the url for the photo. It should turn out something like this… EARP64 Bass Cat

SAMRUSH… Nice install … very clean. Did you drill holes in your jack plate for mounting or use epoxy?

VanWho… BassCat installs Flow-Rite livewell systems. Keep fresh water on your fish and you may not need the chemicals. Flow Rite has great information on their website about each system. Below is a link to a page that describes each systems capabilities. Im just not sure which system BCB installs on the Puma. If you have System 1, and didnt have a recirculation pump added, then it may be to inconvenient to drain and refill the livewell but it can be done. Just move the control to the Open position while on plane and close it once you stopped and refill. If you have System 2, just turn the actuator to Auto and it will keep fresh water on the fish for you. The water gets pretty hot here and we often have to work hard to keep our fish alive during summer tournaments. Do the chemicals work pretty good? Flow-Rite Systems

Basscatman Thanks for your post. I used those colors in the “Boat Designer”. I bet they looked great on the boat. I would love to see it in person or even a photo. I pulled up their website but couldnt find it so I guess they sold it and removed it from their site. Thanks again! Engr6 Nice cat! Thanks for posting it and including the colors. Are the cap insert and bolt black? What color are the seats?Last edited by wolfrvr on June 27th, 2009, 5:44 am, edited 1 time in total.

Bob La Londe Ive found that lights mounted under the rub rail work out a lot better than those above. But, I love the convenience of the ones that mount in the bow light socket. Any light really affects my night vision too which most of the time is enough to get you around in the dark. I spoke to my dealer and they are going to install a knob in the boat that I can use to “dim” the lights. The dash lights are the worst. I was hoping that BCB could install lights in the hull up front so I would have them during times when there is a lot of debris in the water. Thanks for your post!

Steve (Sparker) The auto-inflatable PFDs are a great idea. Anything is better than nothing at all, right? I feel much better after talking to the TWRA. At least Ive taken action to prevent this from happening to someone else. And hopefully, other folks will read this post and decide to wear their vest even when sitting still. Another important thing is to not hesitate to call the Corps or the local authorities if this happens. I got the feeling that they take this very serious. Now, for the fun stuff … those little brown fish. Contact me if you ever fish Dale Hollow Lake in TN and Ill fill you in on what I know about fishing the lake. We can fish together or I can hook you up with GPS coordinates and some bait. But, we wont take the 15 GlasStream . My email is wolfrvr@yahoo.com. On DH, Ive found that they move around alot based on the moon and weather conditions. We had good luck last week fishing a drop shot through deep weed beds. The fish were concentrated around the weed beds and would hit the drop shot as it left the weeds. Im still learning how to catch them but it appears that baitfish move into the weeds for oxygen and move out once oxygen levels get low. When that happens (usually late at night), the baitfish move out of the weeds and are ambushed by the smallmouth. This was my cousins first smallmouth trip. Heres a couple of the fish he caught during our three day adventure… Take care! ScottLast edited by wolfrvr on July 14th, 2009, 4:56 am, edited 1 time in total.
