Well guys, its been a good run. Looks like Ill be getting rid of my Puma and getting into a different brand boat this year. I have nothing but good things to say about my cat. Best boat Ive ever been in and sure wish I could get into a new one, but with the deals triton and skeeter have, its hard to not save $10k+. Sure wish Basscat could develop a package deal with a loaded 20 boat in that $48-52k range. Gonna miss passing everyone in my club lol.
Over the years you probably have noticed others who have crossed these times with finances and health. When things right your situation you will find a way to pick another rig up, and until then you know your always welcome here. God Bless you and your family in these times. Have a Great Day! BCB
I can feel your pain. Hopefully you can get a good sale on the boat and you can clear yourself through this tough situation. The boat is a very valuable asset that can be sold to help through rough times. Likewise, hopefully some friends can keep you on the water and keep your lines tight! Good luck and when the time comes to get back into a boat…..think about all the wonderful folks here. They can help you make a decision on another boat. They are some great gently used rigs to be had all the time. Godspeed and trailing seas, Dan
Sorry…I hope you get back on your feet soon. Judd Lasiter
Not THE END!! Better days ahead. Glynn
a BIG thanks for all the support.like you said sometimes ya just gotta do what it takes.i wll be in another cat someday, nothing else!at least i got a tin boat in trade to fish out of.ill be lurking around and watching all the goo people on here helping others.thanks again for the support, john sage.
John, I feel your pain and am right there with you brother. Hate it more than any thing to sell mine also. Been struggleing with mine for a very long time. Fishing is my life and not sure what I am going to do when mine is gone. Some times we have no choice though and to go forward we have to take a couple steps backwards. Hoping one day I can find my way back in another cat. Thinking I have a buyer for mine also. Will know more today. Take Care and Good Luck
basscat247, Save some of that cash you recover from your rig sale. Never know what might pop up. You wont be able to go long without a rig. BCB
BCB, wish I could share more but kind of doubt a rig or any boat is in my immediate future. Have made a lot of mistakes in my time and without going into detail those mistakes catch up to you. Time I start realizing who and what I am instead of trying to be something I am not. I love your boats and love what youll stand for. Hope you know that. Not looking for pity of any kind and maybe and I say that with a lot of caution. If I work hard, keep my nose to the grind stone and things happen just right. Who knows, maybe next year or the following year I can find my way clear to get back in another. Thanks to all of you very and I mean very much. It has been a pleasure not only owning one of these boats. But getting to spend some time with some of the fine folks on this board, fishing with and also competing against some of you. I have many memories that will last a life time and except for some of the mistakes I have made in the past. Have no regrets !!! Thanks again and if there is ever any thing I can do to help any of you. Please feel free to email or call me any time. Although my bait buisness is fixing to take a little different direction. It is not going any where !!! Joey Watts
I am really sorry to hear you need to sell your boats, lets hope and pray that someday youll be able to get one again.

The Arkansas college circuit, Ward. Thats why he was asking about the river last week. Some ol Eyra with a 175 decided to have the power trim motor bite the dust.I heard today that Sherwood was having a tourney on Saturday, which kind of surprised me by the comments last week, that “powers that be” didnt decide to move it further down river. Hubble told me that while I was checking into getting some work done on my boat (an ol Eyra/175 combo.) Now thats curious, hmm…..Of course, IF they do get to fish, they can stay in LR pool, no ones going to be there anyway….96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
I know. Curious the size of the event more than anything. Another 30-40 boat event will pretty much seal where I will be headed on Saturday. Sherwood NEVER changes the schedule which is fine by me. Will be tough for all of us. Race you to pool 9 or 4.Last edited by clownshoes on September 14th, 2011, 3:26 am, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Jr. III
yeah this sucks i was realllllllyyy lookin forward to it but oh well you cant really do anything about it
Clayton, just worry about gas money for the boat, water and food…….parts been ordered, hope to be picking boat up Friday morning. It aint over til its over.Call me with details tomorrow…………your partner has a tendency to forget things, like tourney times, registration, check in, you know, basic stuff. Although he is good at remembering who his most recent text went to and what it was about. Sherwood is like Anvil Jaw when I fished with them…that which doesnt kill ya, makes ya better……….catch fish with them and you can catch fish anywhere! They are good groups of fishermen in those clubs/circuits.Study boys……………Last edited by jignpig on September 14th, 2011, 3:57 am, edited 1 time in total.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
