Buy a one year old lightly used cat. Youd never know it wasnt new and you get your price point and still pass everyone else IMO.
You want Good Clean Oats you will pair a fair price. If you are satisfied with the Oats after they have been through the Horse then there are bargains out there! Dan
Trust me, Ive debated hard on buying a used cat. Problem is that I want gen3 Lowrance units (chirp), a 112 fortrex, and 5+ years of warranty on the motor. Hard to find that on a used boat.Last edited by 07Puma250ProXS on October 29th, 2015, 8:34 pm, edited 1 time in total.
I like the xz225 layout and price wise it looks like a deal but I know the difference is in the quality. But I would not want a Triton to much unknown with BPS merger. I want to stay in the mid $40,000 so unless I find a deal or rick comes out with a new model I will most likely down size to a p 2 decked out. I really would like a larger deck with center rod storage. Bass Cat”s quality and service is miles ahead of the other boat manufactures.
what about 1. Trailer, read all you want on BBC about the EZ Loader trailer issues 2. Market will be flooded with these Bargain boats, hows resale then?? 3. BCB Warranty is better than ANY BOAT MADE IN AMERICA, better than Grady White, Cigarette, better than ANYONE. 4. Vaccum molded construction vs old stand by 5. Owner forum to ask questions, 6. Build quality 7. finish 8. Hull design, measure the bottom of the Flatish Bug Boat and measure your Pumas hull, notice the flare of the BCB, length of keel and angle of V 9. with a BCB you can get any brand of motor 10. RESALE VALUE, RESALE VALUE, yes I said it a couple times….also drive a 2016 Bug Boat, and a 2016 Puma FTD, you will spend the couple extra bucks all day longYour Signature …
I have an 09 puma and it is all beat up under the bottom. I would love a new boat and could afford it but it would go right back into the same stump infested places to get all beat up. the rocks in the river dont help either. mine has almost 500hrs as well. it is scratched up from coolers and sandy shoes, w/ stained carpets and seats that are beginning to pop the stitches. why should you care? well you shouldnt but everyone of those things are memories. they may not be the best memories but memories nonetheless. the boat is a tool. use it. do you buy your other tools from Harbour Freight? maybe the ones you only intend to use a couple of times. not the ones you give your grandkids. keep the Puma. make more memories in it and every time you see a blemish, smile, pat her a couple of times and get ready for the memory making trip.you didnt even mention the trailers. you better stay where you are. send me the extra cash that seems to be burning a hole in your pocket and then call me once you figure that you made the right choice and I will give you your money back. WIN WIN
