The rod holders should not change on a Puma FTD from 2010. That assembly is only 2 years in process and they dont generally change the interior, though it is larger than a Puma in the boxes. Since no one has seen 2011, that is speculation at this time on the number of sleeves. BCB

My 2010 came with 9 on the port. I requested 9 on starboard also – I think if you dont request it will come only with the 9 on the port. That was my understanding.

I did not know that. Can they build it with more than 9? If so, I need to contact Mike Lott and have him see the maximum that can be arranged in the boxes and change the order.James

I dont think you want anymore than that. It would take a special build and then you would have 3 layers. Might as well lay them on the floor of the rod box.

Do you really need more than nine rods on any given trip? Try some preplanning and leave your other 27 rods at home…

They will be identical in length requirements. If you need an absolute to the quarter inch buzz the factory and have them shoot one square on the floor.

My Cougar ftd fits with about 3″ to spare in the garage. Thats why I was wondering if the new boats with the bigger engines would be the same length. With the engine trimed down, and with the swing away, it fits. Didnt want to get a new boat and wouldnt fit the garage.Ron

Ron, it is the same length and should have the same clearances, though the new jackplates are 2″ longer. Order it with a drop back tongue and stop to gain some length.

BCB, Wouldnt a guy have to add a couple more inches with that new SHO motor with a 8″ J/P. And BTW, If you didnt see it I want to thank everybody at the plant the other day getting the stero issue resolved. Thanks again.Chuck

Chuck, that (Yamaha) is noted in the brochure dimensions. Yes we will tell everyone that you said Thanks and thanks for the support on your end also.
