Didn’t figure going fast would bother you or you wouldn’t be in a BassCat. As stated, it does have a nose / bow high hole shot to deal with big water at the time it was built. This model Eyra at 17’11” got it’s testing out on the Great Lakes. Also, it’s the only Cat with the transom and rear rounded, compared to the traditional sponsons and “notched” rear and transom area.
Not sure what you mean by stabilizers, unless you are referring to a hydrofoil. As for the engine itself, since it is OMC, most anything here will be speculation but is the motor mounted using wedges? Compression checked out okay ? The jackplate would have been a CMC manual jackplate.
Posting a couple of pictures of the engine set up may help move things along as well.
