In theory and talking with those with recent experience it’s end game use gets my attention. Anything to make driving a boat a better experience is a dynamic regardless who, when or where. I know the estimated cost for EtecG2 is being reported just north of $500 dollars. If Verado has it and much is not known about it could be due cost. Rick P will be a good reference to answer your post. I assume he has a good bit of Verado experience.

I have been running a similarly equipped Caracal since 2017 with 4 batteries and the Evinrude and the performance and handling is outstanding. Holeshot is great even in hot weather , no optimax lag on take-off. Low end and midrange response is excellent. Does not use a lot of oil,no service for three years and a 10 year warranty (transferable ). The deck room and storage is the best!

For sure. the Caracal is functional boat and a great team boat. I believe it is a good beginning boat and, if, I fished full time then I will get another type and focus more on the angler. Currently, I have four Interstate 29 AGM batteries and planning to put the Optimas lithium due to weight. I heard it will run better w/ weight in the back? I also got the fuel tank under the seats to help w/ weight for speed optimization and the other tank port side. I am doing 68.5 w/ four blade Rx and 72 w/ my three blade Raker. I thought I would be going faster; and yes, on plane <3 sec., I have gotten on plane as shallow as 1.3 ft as well. Caracal is a heavy boat and I favor the draft and wide deck. Thanks for sharing. I know this is an older thread but I’ve tickled pink with my G2. While I went a little different on the boat with my Lynx, I see similar results. Instant throttle response, excellent holeshot even with the ton of crap I carry with me. And the 10 year warranty is just icing on the cake. For sure don’t overlook the G2 based on the previous trouble with some of the older Evinrudes.
