The only water intrusion I have is when it is raining like mad and I need to get something out of the rod box, or put something in. I dont carry a huge umbrella for that. Speaking of water intrusion, you might find this amusing.About 15 years ago my son and I were out fishing when a monsoon showed up. No lightning/thunder, but it rained so hard it was impossible to fish. Got my old astro completely soaked with water standing in the floor. Pulled up under a bridge to get out of the direct rain. Son and I were holding on to the pylon when two other guys in a pretty big aluminum boat pulled in and asked “do you mind if you hold on to your boat to keep out of the rain? Since there was no wind to fight, just a breeze, I said sure. I forgot about the water soaked into the carpet and such. These two guys were sitting by us and talking fishing when one of them said “hey, we are sinking, do we have a hole???” What they had was a terrible parking place. I forgot about the bilge pump exit that was on the starboard side. They were parked with the rear of their boat aligned with the rear of mine. And when the auto-bilge kicked on, water went from my boat to theirs. After they bailed like mad for a bit, we all had a good laugh.
