P. Whitehurst sounds familiar- I left Va, in 77 , considered Buggs as my home lake as well as Smith Mtn., also Philpott- fished Gaston quite a few times- my best stringer at Buggs was 8 fish- 32.5 lbs in July all on carolina rig w/9″ worms. In April 1975 Ray Scott offered me the first Natl Fed. directors job- had a good job and turned him down- gave job to Bob Barker my St. Fed Secy. A lot of water has passed under my bridge since then, but I never regretted turning down that BASS job.
