I was loading my boat the other day when a C boat rounds he point at WOT, makes a sharp turn in toward te ramp, and blows right passed the no wake bouys without letting up. He run straight at the ramp probably 60+ mph, then spins it sharply about 50 yrds from the ramp and kills the engine. Im starring at the guy like WTH as his wake covers the back deck of my boat with a wall of water. The look in his eyes let me know it was an accident. Turns out his throttle cable stuck at WOT and he paniced when it would not shut down before the bouys. He finally remembered to flip the kill switch. Lessons I learned:1) Begin slowing down well before the ramp or planned stop to make sure throttle is working properly2) Remember the Kill switch if ever you are approaching out of control3) Dont assume every boat violating the no wake rule is a newbie. idiot a.h. who has no regard for the rules.
