Now i can hook that set of wires to the other pump and it will run the other pump but it will not run the fresh water in pump, but i can hook the pump diect to the battery and it will run the pump. Could it be that the pump is bad or does it still sound like wiring issues?
Pump it sounds like. Just because it works when hot wired does not mean it is not faulty. You have a high amperage and good voltage source at the posts. BCB
Replace the pump cartredge. Get it through BCBs parts since it will come w/ the proper connections. It is an easy swap out once you figure out the latch to release the cartredge. If you havent ever done so, replace them all and keep a couple of the good ones for on the water spares.
3.5 hours? Our nearest dealer is probably 2 days away and it hasnt stopped us up here in Montana. As a matter of fact, we dont even have any kind of bassboat dealer in Montana. Luckily though we have a group of little green and brown fish to catch. Mike, sorting tackle for another 4 months till spring
Head to the KC boat show this weekend and a dealer will be there.
On older EFI, there was a black twist cap on top of reservoir. The reservoir should be full, or you may get intermittent beeping/alarms.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
Thanks I checked and the tank is full.Still getting 4 beeps every 2 mins and Ive changed the fuel water separator filter and probe
Hey NC,I can only talk specifically about my “05 Opti..but I assume the Mercs are similar with regards to the alarms. If you can isolate the cause ie. water in fuel or low oil by unpluging the sending unit for the fuel filter first for a couple of minutes and see if the alarm sounds. Then do the same for the oil tank. The filter in my Opti has a sponge inside the paper filter portion which once wetted with water needed drying out to not send a faulty code. I also had the sending unit on the oil tank fail, The floating magnet part broke an it would send a low oil code. Isolating the problem is the key. dont forget to re hookup the sending units.Fogot to add about jumpering the harness plugs but I just saw that Mark mentions it in a previous postBobLast edited by Bobcat on May 4th, 2010, 9:59 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Why no Kansas dealers? My nearest dealer is 3.5 hrs. We do have some good fishing here and skeeter is all you see at tournaments. Please help
have you tried 25 renegade or raker?
Have yet to go with another prop have been trying to get info on right pitch before shelling out the money on more props!
mwconaw, The difference is finding the right wheel and you could probably could try someones 24″ Fury though you will need to purchase a Mercury conversion hub for you old OMC engine. That would be your only required purchase to try someones Merc props.
I have been studying both the renegade and the fury. Where on jackplate should I start to get the fury right?
23 1/2″ high
HC, sounds like some loose wires to me. Sometimes when my old stuff would get loose my HDS-7 would do that too. Start with the connections at the battery, then move to the connections at the master power, then go from there. Also, check all the connections and see if they are tight at the circut system on the transom on the inside of the drivers side of the boat in the bilge. Im no electical expert, but thats where Id start. Beyond what I just said, thats a question for someone smarter than I.- Chaz
