Always carry my spare prop locked in my truck for short trips on small lakes. Longer trips on bigger water-in the boat.

Always. Id rather see a place to carry the spare prop then a place to hold the net under the deck…just my two cents.

Yes I Do, cant ever tell when something will hiccup. I even have a spare T/M in the boat on tournament day.

Spare in the truck. Never saw the need for spare prop after the hubs changed to plastic and definitely not after running a heavy duty steel hub. Ive limped back in 15 miles with a chewed up prop in heavy current after hitting a wing dam on the red river and Ive limped another time or two with one of the blades missing on Trophy prop. It is my opinion that if you hit something that tears up a prop bad enough that it strands you, you probably tore up the gear case too. Which happened to me on Wright Patman a couple of years ago.

Agree with P.A. 100%. Have played it forward and towed others many times. Havent been towed yet but am sure it will happen. Dont fish rivers but we get lots of floaters on Mo. Lakes. With last rig I limped in at low rpms with blade broke off even with hub.

I have broken a blade on a prop, had my spare with me, changed it out and won a tournament (now thats a rarity)because I had a spare with me. We run long distances down here and its just too easy to carry a spare prop. If I fished smaller waters I may reconsider but for fisheries where it is common to run 100 miles in the course of a fishing trip it is a must have! Downriver in Venice it may be the difference between coming home or spending the night tied up to a buoy marker. Just my opinion.Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
