Hey Jim,I was the guy who asked you for coffee in Shawnee in 6 mile!
Thats awesome, I really enjoyed talking to you and admiring your boat.
We fished in Lowes creek on Fri and took a chance and went to San Miguel on Sat and worked points near spawning flats with a 1/2 oz jig.
I have not checked but to my knowledge the ramps are all open. If any are closed, I guess it would be the state parks, but there are still plenty of other ramps to use. The lake is still in good shape. The farther north you go there may be a few areas of boat lane that get fairly shallow. The tournament takeoff is going to be at Bridge Bay but I believe Phil said you can launch elsewhere and motor to the takeoff. Unfortunately, I have not been out in a couple of weeks, but starting this time of year we usually have a good topwater bite. That will be what I start with for sure and then some cranking both shallow and deeper. I am not a big fan of jigging in the grass but that will probably still be a good way to get bit on the south end. If I had any secrets I would tell but I havent been and Im no authority when it comes to the fish. I pretty much chunk and wind and hope to get lucky.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
most ramps at toledo bend are not corp ramps. boat lanes are easy to run and marked very well. just make sure youre in the boat lane when youre running.
I just saw on bassboatcentral that the ramp at Indian Mounds is not accessible. http://www.bbcboards.net/louisiana-bass … -bend.htmlJim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console

Any ramp on the lake is fair game.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console

Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!
Also, if you are a senior with a senior fishing license you are good to go all over LA.
Too bad Oklahoma doesnt participate like Louisiana does. I believe you need both licenses from Texas and Oklahoma to fish Lake Texoma. You need something like a Lake Texoma license to be legal.
Yeah. Thats about what water temp is. I was there last week.
In the mid-lake area I have seen anywhere from 49-53.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
