Fished a bit around the 1215 area, main lake and in san miguel. We did well, numbers, on texas rigged baby brush hogs, lizards(both in watermellon/red), flukes, square bill crankbaits. The biggest was just over 5.25 with a couple 4s thrown in and a few 2s. My buddy has a real bad back, so we couldnt brave the big water too much due to a strong south wind. Turtle beach launch is iffy. I saw a 17 Tracker aluminum going out w/his trolling motor. I had launched at San Miguel state park and on my return, my skeg bumped the sand prior to getting to the launch. Good luck, Ronnie
Thanks Ronnie. What ramps would be best around the south end?? Any problems running any certain areas that you have heard? Bryan 03 P4.
Heres a link that lists boat launches and at what lake levels they are still accessable.http://www.toledo-bend.com/toledo_bend/ … atlaunchesAs of this morning (Thursday 11/18/10) the lake is at 164.27. Joe Joslin is a guide that primarily fishes the south end, and heres link to his recent report. http://www.toledo-bend.com/toledo_bend/ … t&which=jjJim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console

Shark, I sent you an IM back. Well be there hopefully fri afternoon, and fish all sat and sun. I left you contact info and will be in touch and you can play around in my P4. Bryan Adams.
Congrats, lets see some pictures! As for your miss, how frequent is it? You might want to start with the obvious easy things like spark plugs…. Otherwise I might just bring it in to have the pros look at it. Optis should run smooth with no misses
I would check the plugs also.
Congrats on the PIV. I gave it a lot of consideration when I was searching for my second BassCat. Holly Park is a nice place to stay and they are good people. We fish Patroon quite a bit and you can easily stay in Patroon and fish shallow or deep depending on what the fish are doing at any given time.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
Good comeback. I was at work all weekend so I missed the fun of fighting the wind, but it has blown every day since then as well. Lake wind advisory has been in effect for several days now. Do you know what it took to win the tournament? What was big fish? I saw that there were 3 fish over 10 pounds caught and weighed at Toledo Town this past weekend.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console

Im sorry 42# won. my fat finger typo.
I had 20 lbs overall. Tough, tough deal. should have had 17-18 lbs first day, but lost those two at the boat. Only weighed 3 the first day, and 5 swimmers on day two. Had some good fish located in Patroon, but they got ran over 1000 times on friday, so I went south Saturday and didnt catch the bigger fish.
My first trip, caught some fish Thursday in Carrie Creek (a 4 and a 5), no keepers there on Friday, a few small keepers Saturaday in 6 mile (wanted to see more of the lake). My friend from work caught a 8.55 off a bed Saturday, have no reason to doubt him, from the 6 mile area.
