Its kinda like a shock in the tongue, but i bet you ran outta fluid and got air in the lines. Fill fluid with DOT 3, and bleed the system, then check for leaks. D.
The Coupler can have slop in it there Philco, and it could require a new coupler slid in that tongue. The shock can be replaced, and the brakes can be bled if those are the issue.
Thanks for the information. Ill check out the fluid issues this weekend and then go to the FAQs to ensure Im bleeding the brakes correctly…….will report on progress. Thanks again.
trailer is a challenger man. date is 11/02 hub and bearings were replaced by previous owner i noticed the damage when i was repacking bearings can the spindle be replaced?
On that model it could be an axle replacement if the shaft is damaged. There are some seal covers in some auto parts stores (seal race) if you can find or need one.
that seal race is the only thing im going to have a problem with the shaft should clean up with a little work i will shop around the parts stores tomorrow thanks for the info
my front trailer axle appears to have had a bearing failure at some point in time the spindle has some rough stuff on it but the place of my concern is the surface where the seal rides it is grooved and rough the bearings in this hub were rusty and i am concerned the seal is not able to keep the water out.what are my options if any thanks in advance for any help.
