Sometimes calcium is pressed in the line by freezing. Remove the gauge line at the back, relieve it and replace. If it stays high its the gauge.

It could still be a froze issue. Often when a gauge reads around 10 psi and dont zero out it was from freezing water in the gauge at some point.. Disconnect the line at the back of the gauge if its damaged from freezing it will still stay up around the 10 psi. Only fix is to replace the gauge.

Same problem here, but mines way more than 10. Good Post and info. I just posted similar about gauges before I seen this.

ok, I took off end of hose & then got the gauge out. It looks to be filled with thick brownish gunk. Gauge doesnt move so I need a new one, but what if the tube has more in it? how do you clear the tube out?

Blow it backwards as old weeds or mud must have gone through the engine. You can also remove the power head end and free flow it. BCB

Replacing would likely be the fix! As easy as it looks unless the rubber tubi g needs to be replaced.
