Dear Bass Cat Family,Today is an emotional day for many in the United States of America. Of course we all know it is election day and we appreciate cphagler bringing this to everyones attention early this morning, and we hope everyone gets out and votes, no matter their preference. Though today we also have had some flamboyance and aggravation show itself on the Owners Board. We have struck and edited more statements in the last 72 hours on this Owners Board, than at any single year in the past history. Comments on this board are made by many and there are many different cultural and genealogical differences that are very diverse in origin, here on this Owners Board. We do not ever want to offend anyone on this board and the Pierce Family is more diverse than we feel most of your families are in their make up. Though that is another topic. Still please keep the consideration that this board represents Bass Cat Boats, and the comments on this board can be misconstrued as representing our opinions or view point(s) as Bass Cat. Please in the future consider that many diverse cultures are owners of Bass Cat models and we are pleased to have every one of those. It might surprise you that they are also very similar often to those view points shared here today we find. Though no matter those view points, we need to keep everyone feeling like we are one proponent of Bass Cat owners and that our common ground is here as anglers. Thank you and we hope no one was personally offended or mistook those statements as representing a bulk of opinions here. Rick Pierce

It was regarding boat color choice and motor choice on a new Bass Cat. The original poster used a phrase that may have been construed as derogatory or insensitive toward certain nationalities. Therefore Bass Cat made the decision to remove the thread.

To all of YOU, bass cat, owners, and guys like Bama, I sincerely apologize, my “remark” was not meant to offend or upset. I was making a joke, I understand it was in poor taste. I was making a funny, as most of you realize humor is not understandable on a forum, meaning no one knows if Im smiling or serious when writing someting. Im going to take a step back from the forum, it seems to me I upset too many of you, upset guys like Sherm and other dealers, and all I meant to do was enlighten some folks, help future owners with opinions. I dont sell alot of BCBs and honestly am more of a pain than a asset. I wish you guys the best. Sorry guys, especially Rick and BCB. I let my feelings get away from me this morning. Sometimes when I get upset about things I dont think about how what Im saying will affect others. Ill try to do better.
